I recently read that the “major problem with actual web diaries is that they are very exclusionist” and that “Public blogs should be reserved for opinion”. The reasoning behind this outlandish criticism was that the readers who have never met the people that are referred to in “diarising” blogs find the whole thing very uninteresting. Well rather than ending my ‘blogs with the personal touch’ (I have no real insight into life and the bigger picture and so talk only about my friends and getting dressed etc) I have decided to describe the people and relationships I often refer to. Here we go:
Sarah(g):
relationship- me girlfriend
appearance- beautiful, red hair(long), 5foot 10, nice smile, good legs, grey-green eyes
personality- fiery temper, opinionated, very funny, extremely intelligent
likes- watching films, music, reading, writing, giving out, laughing, me, theatre
dislikes- authority, decision making, injustice, violence, other people, south-side girls
Kelly (brian):
relationship- me bleedin mate (the conversationalist speciality science and politics)
appearance- black hair(long), 6 foot, hairy, cool, stocky
personality- cool, chilled out, intelligent, fonzey-like attitude, interesting, hip-cat.
likes- reggae(don’t laugh), reading, gaa, history, learning, music, meeting new people
dislikes- narrow minded people, not much else, being sober(perhaps that’s a bit harsh)
Ej (Donohoe):
relationship- my funny friend
appearance- lock up your daughters, 6”3’, snappy dresser, brown hair, skinny
personality- philosopher, extremely funny, lazy, interesting, scary, awkward
likes- writing songs, talking about lyrics, getting drunk and clumsy, hanging out
dislikes- people who aren’t up for the session, raggae

relationship- friend(Kelly’s girlfriend)
appearance- blond, 5”10’, good looking, funky dresser (used to work in peter mark)
personality- laid back, very funny, interesting, great laugh
likes- bleedin reggae, hanging out, listening to Brian sayin,” ja know what’s mad…”
dislikes- not hanging out, Brian when he gets really drunk
Glenn(Ten ton keelan):
relationship- tall friend (one of the “lads”)
appearance- shoulder length dreadlocks, 6”4’, sallow skin, thin
personality- laid back, guitar, easy going to a frustrating level, hilarious
likes- everyone to get along, being mellow, and listening to motherfucking reggae
dislikes- confrontation, the cold, bad vibes
Mark:
relationship- my interesting friend
appearance- tall at 6”5’, shy, looks like he’s trying to lift something with his mind
personality- very funny, creative, interesting, hilarious, sarcastic, smouldering
likes- film, writing, drawing, painting, theatre, being angry, talking, eating
dislikes- illogical people, hot weather, insects, being in a laid back environment
Bones (the boner, the erection, Ciaran, bony):
relationship- mad/hilarious friend
appearance- black hair, 5”10’, wild, cheeky looking, exciting and electric
personality- lightening personified, absolutely comical, the centre of a party
likes- telling stories, watching films, music, writing, united(soccer mad)
dislikes- reggae, women(mainly stuck up ones), being sober
Bar lad:
relationship- good buddy(also marks brother)
appearance- 6”4’, good looking, dreaded hair, thin, smiley
personality- up for the session at all times, mad, real funny, lazy, excitable
likes- getting excited, being wild, reggae, playing bass, GAA, Frisbee, sleep
dislikes- uptight people(me), being awoken, lads that aren’t crazy
Dan (the animal):
relationship- my brother
appearance- mad bastard, shaved head, 5”11’, stocky, crazy eyes(mr. Deeds style)
personality- multiple, absolute banger, cant sit still, wild, rapper, entertaining
likes- wrecking the buzz, confusing people, rap, hip hop, girls, whiskey, being a prick
dislikes- work, being sober, tacky reggae fans, Paddy Dunagun, the lack of disco these days

appearance- bearded walking IT stereotype, nice jumpers, crazy hair, pale
personality- extremely intelligent, very funny, cynical, a connoisseur in everything
likes- eating good food, fishing, shit tv, theatre, politics, learning, film, wine, metal
dislikes- diary style blogs, politics, racist taxi drivers, jeans tucked into boots, shit tv
